Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer Review

Makeup Revolution Concealer Review

Makeup Revolution London is not a very common brand in India. I got to know about this through my September Fab Bag which included this Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer as one of its product. I normally prefer liquid foundation rather than dry or mousse foundation in powder form since they tend to make skin look drier and my homemade makeup fixing spray comes as a rescue for this giving a smooth dewy finish. But for the very first time I got a concealer in liquid form, normally they are available in thick cream and stick form which I find little hard to blend. So I was quite excited to receive this Focus and Fix Liquid Concealer. Let's start with the review of this.

This liquid concealer from Makeup Revolution comes in a beautiful transparent lip gloss packaging with the tiny sponge application for the tip application. I really like the packaging of this since the tip applicator makes it quite user friendly and the sleek packaging makes it very travel friendly to carry.

This concealer comes in 6 shades but limited shades available in India and I got the one in medium. This is quite a big problem in this to choose the shade per skin shade due to limited shades availability. This medium shade appears quite dark on my fair skin and I actually like using concealer in bit light shade than my skin tone since the lighter shade works perfectly as a highlighter too giving a flawless radiant look.

I applied this concealer on my somewhat pigmented area. Actually pigmented is not the right word to use since I have very light acne scars which have faded overtime. I dabbed this liquid concealer on those leftover scars and under my eyes for the brightening effect since I don't really suffer from dark circles by God's Grace. Unfortunately I did not get the satisfied results in any of these areas. The shade was little dark to conceal the scars and  did not even give required brightening effect under the eye area. Moreover it gives a very light coverage giving just a touch of radiance to your skin overall helping in even skin tone that too if your skin is pretty smooth without any deep scars or marks.

Overall I think this concealer would just do the job of adding a bit of radiance to your skin and would not help in proper concealing specially if you have little more pigmented areas and acne scars. Also this comes its available in limited shades in India so quite difficult to find the shade of your skin. I would say you can try using this concealer if you have average to good skin which requires just the basic touch up without any focus on special areas.

Nice convenient packaging.
User friendly & travel friendly.
Good for precise tip application.
Does not break out on my acne prone skin.
Does on react on skin.
Comes at an affordable price.

Available only in limited shades in India.
Gives light to medium coverage.
Not for deep pigmentation and scars.
Does not conceal scars and problematic areas in the best possible way.
Not long lasting and wears off easily.
Not buildable for heavy coverage.

  1. I haven't heard about this brand before. Nice review

  2. This works okay on some light scars. But on my dark circles, it fails miserably.
