Amazon.in Shopping Review
This post is a review on one more Online Shopping Site from India. I have shopped from so many Indian Shopping sites like Jabong, Flipkart, Homeshop18, Medplus Beauty, Yebhi, Pepperfry, Craftsvilla, Bestylish and even reviewed most of them. But the very first time I shopped from Amazon.in which is an Indian site of Amazon.com. I was not about to buy from it originally but somehow I was left with no option and had to buy from Amazon.in. Check out my review below to find out what made me buy from it and how good the experience was.
Amazon.in has a huge variety of products listed under different categories like Books, Music, Movies & TV Shows, Mobiles & Tablets, Home & Kitchen, Beauty & Health etc which are further divided into sub categories like Mobiles & Tablets into Smartphones and Basic Mobiles, Cases & Covers, Screen Protectors, etc. Take a look at the snapshot below to find out the range of categories available.
Amazon.in Shopping Experience.
I was about to gift a mobile to one of my friends on her birthday, so I selected a mobile from Flipkart and placed its order 8-9 days before her birthday. I searched for the faster checkout option just to make sure on time delivery but this option was not available with the product I selected, so I had to choose the regular checkout option, which confirmed me that the product would reach me in maximum 8 days. I thought this 8 days time is quite a lot because normally Flipkart ships the product the same day or sometimes the next day and most of the time I get the order in 3-4 days at my doorstep. But this time, the experience was not so good.
Just after placing the order of mobile, I mailed the Flipkart team to dispatch the product as soon as possible since it was a birthday gift. But in spite of repeated reminders, calls and mails my order was not shipped till 4 days. I was shocked to see this because I never expected this from Flipkart whose service have been excellent till then. Even on the 5th day the order was not shipped and I was so upset that time since the friend's birthday was close.
So I searched for the same mobile on other Indian shopping sites. There were many options available over the net but the best I could find was at AMAZON.in, because it had the faster checkout option at the cost of Rs 49/- only which claimed the delivery in 2 days. I immediately called at their customer care and confirmed that is it sure that I would get the product in 2 days and after confirmation, I cancelled the order from Flipkart and placed the order at Amazon.in on the Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly I got the message from Amazon on the same evening that my product has been shipped and delivery expected by Monday. I was so happy to see this and even more happy on Monday afternoon, when I got my order at my doorstep.
The product was nicely packed and was totally new and in good condition. I was so happy and satisfied with Amazon and because of its quick delivery, I was able to give birthday gift to my friend on time. Along with online payment, cash on delivery option is also available. Also you get a message on the delivery date that your product is out for delivery and would be delivered today, which helps in arranging someone to receive the product.
Overall the shopping experience have been amazing from Amazon. I would keep shopping from it in future, rather just few days before I was looking for Patanjali products online and found these at Amazon but they became quite expensive with the extra shipping cost added to each product.
