Today I am reviewing a tinted moisturizer which works nicely as a foundation , as well as a moisturizer, that means you dont require any moisturizer or lotion with the foundation , thus works as a  foundation for dry skin. The tinted moisturizer I am going to review is BIOTIQUE BIO REDWOOD TINTED MOISTURIZER. Ohh..big name...so are ifs effects big enough?...read below

                                 

WHAT IT CLAIMS

This sheer, tinted moisturizer is blended with redwood, winter cherry and wheat germ oil to bring skin to life. Hydrates and evens out skin tones with a healthy tint of color. SPF 30 UVA/UVB sunscreen and other protective agents shelter skin from the damaging effects of sun, stress and city pollution. For all skin types.

To Use: Apply to cleansed skin each morning, before sun exposure. Dot forehead, nose, chin and cheeks, then blend well. Perfect to use in place of foundation.

BIOTIQUE TINTED MOISTURIZER was my 1st choice out of other tinted moisturizers because it comes from an Ayurvedic & one of my fav brand BIOTIQUE. I had heard some really good revies about PONDS TINTED MOISTURIZER too , but I opted to buy this BIOTIQUE BIO REDWOOD TINTED MOISTURIZER because I love BIOTIQUE products - They are all natural  & have used many of them & I am quite satisfied with all. I have also reviewed many like BIOTIQUE SOAPS , WHITENING LIP BALM , etc. So I bought this BIOTIQUE Naturally tinted moisturizer for my sensitive skin

This is an old bottle & since my mom & me both use it as a daily foundation , the name has also disappeared.

PACAKGING

Now the packaging is not at all good. Its too unhygienic to use this BIOTIQUE TINTED MOISTURIZER , since it just creates a mess all over your nails & fingers while taking out the product from this huge pot. Take a look at this old appearance jar

SHADES-It comes in 3 shades- ROSE , PEACH & OLIVE

Selecting the shade in BIOTIQUE TINTED MOISTURIZERS was such a pain , because none of then sources had accurate knowledge about it , whether its online shopping sites , sales girls at showroom. Some said Rose is for fair skin , some said Olive..All just had a vague information about the shades , & as per their guidance , I went ahead & bought the BIOTIQUE TINTED MOISTURIZER in ROSE SHADE – for fair skin , but unfortunately I feel its not meant for fair , rather for medium skin tone. APPLICATION

Now on application , the tinted moisturizer applies smoothly , gets absorbed into the skin nicely , without giving a chalky feeling , thats where it stands with the claim of MOISTURIZER. But it provides a very light medium coverage.

Though many people say that it makes skin too oily , but this wasnt the case with me , since I have dry acne prone skin , so it just made my skin normal removing the dryness.

Overall , I would this a nice foundation in budget meant for daily use specially good for people with dry skin.. ALso those with sensitive skin could use this since it contains all herbal ingredients.I cant really compare it with Ponds tinted moisturizer since I havent used it.
