Its a big challenge to find the right foundation for your skin tone. I remember how I went on rounds and rounds  in search for getting up my right foundation few years back. But now being a PR person, I am lucky enough to get loads of these on their own. But I didn’t get my all time dream foundation even after trying so many makeup foundations and finally end up buying the most raved Revlon Colorstay Makeup Foundation with Softflex. This Revlon Makeup Liquid Foundation comes in 2 varaints in India - one for oily skin and other for dry skin. and I bought the one for dry skin. Though I have oily acne prone skin normally, but at the time when I bought this, I was having slight fungal infection on my skin in winters because of dryness so I chose the one for dry skin. PACKAGING

I would start with the packging of this high coverage makeup. Normally these high end HD MAKEUP FOUNDATIONS, come in a pump bottle for the perfect release of the foundation everytime you press the pump. Such a packaging actually gives the control to the person along with making the product user friendly because of the convenient packaging & a product like foundation definitely needs a convenient packaging.

This high coverage Revlon Makeup Foundation comes in a round bottle with a narrowing opening and simple screw cap unlike the Revlon Photoready Makeup Liquid Foundation with the pump one. The cap is not really convenient and quite fragile. It never use to close completely, leaving behind the fear of spillage always. When I tried to shut the cap little more tight, it just cracked and now I am left with loose broken cap. I bought this foundation long back when I was on my international trip but the newly launched packaging of this in India comes with a pump dispenser now.

TEXTURE & APPLICATION

The texture of this Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation is very thick and stiff, quite difficult to move and manage. Even on application, its really stiff and nto easily blendable like regular liquid foundations. Infact I had to work upon the dots really well to blend them because this foundation dries super quickly giving you no time to giggle and relax in between the application and blend.

RESULTS, EFFECT & STAYING POWER

Now coming to the results of this Colorstay Foundation. This Colorstay Foundation gives beautiful flawless coverage hiding most of your acne pimples pigmentation in the best possible way if used properly, which is actually a big challenge. Though this is the one for dry skin but being so thick in texture, its quite difficult to blend which makes me moisturize my face heavily before I use the foundation and also use a damp sponge to blend it which makes it easy to blend giving a nice dewy finish, which I really love on my dry skin.

The staying power of this foundation is excellent. It stays on my skin easily for 6-7 hours, even more when its not that hot and humid. Even if its melts down, it still manages to make your skin look flawless with little care. Also this makeup foundation is waterproof, meaning you can move into the rain, sun, and swim without any fear of foundation getting off your skin.

Overall I would this Revlon Colorstay Liquid Makeup Foundation is a great mid to heavy coverage foundation which covers most of your skin problems like acne, pimples, scars, pigmentation quite effortlessly. The staying power is again excellent making it perfect for functions, beach parties for a long high coverage effect. Only thing one needs to take care is that opt for the suitable variant of dry skin or oily skin. This foundation is quite thick and on the drier side, so those with extreme dry skin, might need to skip this foundation or give a try first. But yes this a great all in one quite worthy foundation for most of your skin problems.
