ORIFLAME Kohl Pencil Black Review

This post is a review on one of the famous kajal from the brands ORIFLAME. Its Oriflame Kohl Pencil in Black. I have already reviewed so many Oriflame Products and have liked most of them, specially the Oriflame Kajal Pencil, which is so good when it comes to smudge free kajal. I was about to order the same one again but it was not in stock so bought this Kohl Pencil in black for a try.

Review

This Oriflame Kohl Pencil in black comes in a regular kajal pencil form but is little smaller in size than the regular pencil but overall it looks cute with its glossy rich black color with silver print on it.

As mentioned above, I have used many Oriflame Products and been satisfied by most of them but simply love its Bronzing Pearls and Kajal Pencil, but since the latter was out of stock I got this Kohl one. I also like Maybelline Colossal Kajal a lot but since I have purchased so many sticks of it, I wanted to try a different one this time and didn't mind buying this Oriflame Kohl. The Kohl pencil looks pigmented and sharp enough to give a perfect sleek look. The pencil is soft enough for application and gives a clean neat look. Take a look at the swatches below with single, double and triple swipes of this Oriflame Kohl Pencil.

Oriflame Kohl Pencil Black Swatches

As you can see in the picture above, the color does not appear that pigmeted in just a single swipe like in 3 swipes. Same is the case when applied on eyes. I just swiped the pencil once on the lower lid effortlessly, which gave a very lightly pigmented shade. I had to swipe it again with a little effort for a richer look.

This kohl Pencil appears to be pigmented but is not really much like that of Origlame original kajal pencil which gives nice dense rich shade in just a single swipe. You need to apply it over and over for a nice pigmented rich look. But the good part about this is that it gives a really sleek line with not so sharp tip, making your eyes very comfortable with it.

Oriflame Kajal Pencil Review

The pencil fades after few hours of application. The pencil is somewhat smudge free. It stays on its place for few hours if left untouched, but if you touch or rub your eyes even gently its smudges very easiy. Take a look at the swatch below with finger rubbed on the shade very lightly.

Though this Oriflame Kohl Pencil smudges easily if rubbed or touched but It does not make your eyes look bad giving you a raccoon eyes effect. It leaves a very light cast behind which could be easily cleaned using a tissue paper. It extremely easy to clean with any simple cloth or tissue and does not require a special eye makeup remover.

Overall this is an average kohl pencil from Oriflame. Its light and gets easily washed with water leaving no dark marks behind. It gives a sleek line kajal effect in light shade, good for daily use which can be made more pigmented with more swipes.

PROS

Easy to clean.
Does not give Raccoon eyes.
Does not sting.

CONS

Requires little effort for pigmented look.
Smudges easily if rubbed or touched.
Requires more swipes for a rich dark look.
