Summers have
approached and so has the stroking heat of SUN. These summers are good, since
you can take cool showers, drink cold drinks, but are bad for skin because Sun
causes suntan and thus results in darkening of skin.People try different methods for treating suntan but its easier to prevent suntan than treating it. Some people don’t prefer
going out in Summers but it’s not possible to sit inside round the clock but
yes one should avoid going out in at least during the hottest hours 11-4 pm in
summers if possible.
What if someone
has to go, its urgent and cannot be avoided. This is what many people ask me, HOW TO PREVENT SUNTAN because they have to go out, WHAT TO DO AFTER COMING FROM SUN. I always suggest applying Sunscreen before
going out and wearing proper scarfs and gloves if possible. But what if you were
in the Sun for quite long, that these things also lost its effect. Just use the
following tips immediately after coming from Sun, to avoid the chances of
getting Suntan.
Here are the
following tips, you can follow any according to your convenience and
suitability of your skin.
ü Aloe Vera Gel
After coming out from Sun, apply pure Aloe Vera Gel on face, neck and
other exposed areas.
Leave for 20-30 minutes while sitting indoor. Wash with
cold water, followed by moisturiser. One can use PATANJALI ALOE VERA GEL if pure gel not available.
ü Rose Water
Dip a cotton ball in cold rose water and apply generously on face, neck
and also on eyelids to give cooling effect. (Try keeping Rose Water in
Refrigerator in summers.
ü Yoghurt or Curd
Apply cold yoghurt or curd on face, massage for 2 minutes and leave for
15-20 minutes. Rinse with cold water and apply a good moisturizer.
ü Ice or Ice Cold Water
Splash ice cold water on face to give ultra-cooling effect. One can also
rub ice cubes if possible. This helps in preventing suntan.
ü Cucumber Pulp
Rub fresh cucumber pulp on face. Massage and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse
with cold water
ü Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix 1 part of ORGANIC APPLE CIDERVINEGAR with 4 parts of cold water and apply it all over the face using
cotton ball. Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water and pat fry
followed by a moisturizer.
These were some of the tips, one can use to avoid and prevent Suntan
after spending a lot of time in Sun. Usage of these tips depends on the time
spent and severity of Sun damage.
