Fruit of the Earth Gentle Healing Vitamin E Skin Lotion Review

Skin Care Lotion – Double Rich Formula Heals Dry Skin.

Good Morning Everyone. Post after a long long time, since these days most of the time I am out & also doing loads of shopping J. This post is about a Vitamin E skin lotion for dry skin, which I got from Online Shopping Site Pepperfry.com, which I will review in some time. Since this lotion claims to heal dry skin, I thought I should not delay in reviewing this, since winters have already started & so has the problem of dry skin. So here is my review on Fruit of the Earth Gentle Healing Vitamin E Skin Care Lotion.

Review

I was ordering few stuff & little jewellery from Pepperfry.com, where I saw some unique things which I didn’t find on other online shopping sites. When I saw this Fruit of Earth Skin Lotion, I thought to try this because this was a different skin lotion we are getting in India since normally in India we try Vaseline, Nivea – brands which are very popular & commonly available everywhere. There were 3 variants of this lotion, one with Vitamin E, one with Cocoa & one with Aloe Vera. I ended up ordering Vitamin E one since it had the word gentle healing. I think it also comes in a moisturizer or a cream form along with lotion.

This comes in a quite sturdy plastic bottle with a nice flip top, making it super easy, convenient to use. Only problem with this bottle is you cant carry this big bottle in your purse, so not travel friendly.

This lotion is absolute white in color with just right consistency, neither thick nor runny.

Coming to its moisturing properties, well this lotion feels little greasy when you first apply it on skin but slowly gets completely absorbed in the skin. I feel my skin to nourished & soft immediately. Not only that I could feel that softness with no lines even later after using this lotion. But yes, the nourishing part is not too much. If you have little dry skin, this lotion would work very nicely for you, but if you have severe dry skin, this is not for you. Now let me tell you its biggest con-Its smell. Yes this lotion smells weird, something like mosquito repellant cream which I don’t like at all. Normally we expect these body lotions to come with amazing fragrance & Nivea, Vaseline normally have wonderful fragrance in most of their lotions.

Overall a good lotion for normal to dry skin but wont work for severe dry skin. People who look for good fragrance should not buy this but those who just look for moisturization & really don’t care for smell can definitely buy this. However the smell does not stay for long time.

PROS

Immediately nourishes skin.
Skin feels soft even after hours.
Comes with Vitamin E.
Pretty cheap.
Nice bottle, hygienic to use.

CONS

Smell not good at all.
Not for severe dry skin beauties.
Difficult to find.

RATING – 3/5

  3. I have dry skin around my nails (after chemo problem-I used to be proud of my nails) bad cuticles also. Have tried about 20 different cream lotions (curel, aveeno, renew, vaseline, a vinegar based one-they didn't help). I got a 4 oz. bottle from WalMart-been using about 3 days-seems to be helping. I like the smell and consistency. I have the cream version and like but seems to stay greasier longer.
